As a child, I fell in love with classical ballet and set out on the path to becoming a professional dancer. Since then, my love for conscious movement has never faded. I first experienced yoga during my studies in Movement Sciences at ETH Zurich. Since then, many asanas and breathing exercises have not only become part of my yoga practice but are also firmly integrated into my dance classes.
Yoga helps me to better understand my body, mind, and soul. After completing my doctorate in “Healthy and Active Aging” at the University of Zurich, I began to engage more systematically with yoga and Spiraldynamik(R). I completed my first 200-hour yoga teacher training in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar with Eva Hager-Forstenlechner and Ekkehart Hager. Since 2023, I have been part of Class 28 at the Yoga University in Villeret, where I also started the advanced training in yoga therapy at the end of 2024.
In my teaching, it is important to me to focus on precise and healthy execution of asanas and to create space for conscious body awareness through mindful practice. I use playful-dance elements as a complement to powerful positions. I see the insights of movement science and modern medicine in a fruitful and harmonious coexistence with the life wisdom of yoga.
