I first experienced yoga at the age of 14, in an Iyengar class. What stayed with me was something very simple: I felt good, in my body and in my mind. I intuitively understood that this practice supported me, and I wanted to return to that experience and explore it further. Yoga has remained a continuous thread in my life ever since. Over the years, I have practiced different traditions, including Iyengar, Hatha, Kundalini and Jivamukti Yoga, while deepening my understanding through teacher trainings, meditation, satsang, self-practice and self-study.
While living in Paris, I discovered Jivamukti Yoga, which became an important influence on my practice and teaching. The idea of jivanmukti, often translated from Sanskrit as “liberation while living”, still resonates deeply with me. I understand yoga as a practice of becoming more aware of ourselves and gradually creating more freedom in how we experience and move through life.
For me, this exploration happens across different layers of our experience: physical, mental, emotional and energetic. The physical body is often the most tangible place to begin. Through movement and stillness, breath and sensation, we learn to listen more closely to what is happening within us and can gradually access subtler layers of experience.
This understanding shapes the way I teach. My classes bring together asana, conscious movement, pranayama, meditation, chanting and intention, sometimes complemented by voice and sound. A practice may be strong or gentle, dynamic or still, but I continually invite students to notice not only what they are doing, but what they are experiencing while doing it.
I see yoga not as a pursuit of a perfect posture or a particular state, but as a practice of awareness. By learning to notice sensation, breath, thought, emotion and energy with curiosity and compassion, we can create more space for presence, choice and freedom.
Today, I teach on Thursday morning 8.30 – 9.45 am. Integrating movement, breath, meditation, mantra, voice and sound.
